Palm inhalation using essential oils
This ritual can be practised at anytime of the day. It is a powerful tool to ease stress or tension bringing you back into alignment with yourself.
Add a few drops of anointing oil to the palms of your hands and gently rub together. Bring your hands close to your face, close your eyes and take 3 deep breathes, each time exhaling slowly. Seal this practise by affirming “I am calm and inwardly still, I am relaxed and present in this moment”
It’s important that when completing this ritual that you are using pure essential oils. Fragrance oils are synthetic versions of the oil and cannot deliver the same benefits.
When inhaled, the scent molecules in essential oils travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain and impact the amygdala, which is the emotional centre of the brain.
